Evangelist Nana Agradaa — whose real name is Patricia Asiamah — has been released from Nsawam Medium Security Prison after serving a reduced custodial sentence. The Amasaman High Court cut her original 15-year term to 12 months on appeal, ruling that the initial punishment was excessively harsh. She was also fined GH₵2,400 as part of the revised sentence.
Agradaa’s early release comes under Ghana’s remission policy, with her time in custody calculated from July 3, 2025. This decision sparked preparations among her supporters, with congregants at her Heaven Way Champion International Ministry in Accra readying a welcome celebration ahead of her return.
Her conviction stemmed from charlatanic advertising and related offences, reflecting longstanding legal controversies surrounding her public ministry and practices.
