Zoë Modiga, Karen Zoid and Masicorp bring entertainment and community spirit to the city
Cape Town is set for a weekend filled with live performances, comedy and charitable giving as some of South Africa’s biggest entertainers take to the stage for special events across the city.
From soulful music experiences to fundraising events supporting education, residents and visitors will have several opportunities to enjoy entertainment while connecting with meaningful causes.
Award-winning singer Zoë Modiga is bringing her latest tour to Cape Town, offering fans an opportunity to experience her unique blend of jazz, African influences and storytelling.
Known for her powerful vocals and emotional performances, Modiga has built a reputation for creating shows that go beyond traditional concerts. Her music explores themes of identity, love, personal growth and life experiences.
Audiences can expect a performance featuring some of her popular songs alongside newer material, with Modiga delivering the energy and authenticity that have made her one of South Africa’s respected musical voices.
The concert will take place at the Homecoming Centre on Friday, July 27, at 7:30pm.
Meanwhile, South African rock icon Karen Zoid will return to Lourensford Wine Estate for a live performance celebrating her celebrated career.
Known for her distinctive voice, honest songwriting and energetic stage presence, Zoid has remained one of the country’s most influential musicians.
Fans can look forward to a mixture of classic favourites and newer songs as she brings her signature style to the stage.
The performance is scheduled for Saturday, July 18, at 7pm.
Beyond music, Cape Town will also host an evening focused on community support and fundraising through Masicorp Presents: A Night of Music, Laughter and Giving.
The special event combines comedy, music and charity to raise funds for education programmes supporting children and young people in Masiphumelele.
As part of Masicorp’s Mandela Month campaign, the event aims to create greater opportunities for communities through education initiatives.
Guests will enjoy performances from comedian Marc Lottering, musician Jeremy Olivier and Jenny & the Jameses, while also having the opportunity to participate in a fundraising auction featuring various items.
Attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations to support children attending Masicorp’s early childhood development centres.
The event will take place at Cafe Roux on Friday, July 17, at 6pm.
