Okey Bakassi, a Nigerian comedian and actor celebrated his 25th wedding anniversary with his wife Zizi. He reflected on their journey from lovers to a family of five.
Okey Bakassi marked the milestone on September 1 2026 with a video collage that showed memorable moments from their years together.
In a message Okey Bakassi said that he and Zizi first met in 1988 and became friends through love letters. Their pursuit of education separated them for a time but they reunited and kept their relationship alive.
Okey Bakassi and Zizi exchanged vows on September 1 2001 in Port Harcourt, the city where they first met and fell in love.
Reflecting on 25 years of marriage Okey Bakassi said that their union has grown stronger through love, trust, faith and humility. He also expressed gratitude, for their three children and the family they have built together.
Okey Bakassi thanked Zizi for her love, sacrifices, support and commitment throughout their marriage.
