Qatar Reaffirms Support For Sudan Amid War

Qatar has stated again that it supports Sudan’s unity and the protection of Sudan’s borders. Qatar also calls for an end to the pain caused by the fighting that continues in Sudan.

During a discussion about Sudan at the meeting of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva Qatar’s representative at the UN Office in Geneva Dr. Hind Abdulrahman Al Muftah voiced strong worry about the humanitarian conditions.

Al Muftah said that Qatar clearly condemns any wrongdoing that happens during the conflict. Al Muftah stressed that every side must follow humanitarian law.

Al Muftah said that Qatar stays committed to helping those who want to reduce the pain of people. Qatar especially wants to help those who have been displaced or who cannot get services.

Al Muftah said that Qatar Charity has set aside about QR18 million for help projects, in Sudan in 2026.

The money will be used to help those who have been moved from their homes. The money will cover food, medical care, houses, water and other basic needs.

Qatar again said that it supports the right of people to live with dignity, safety and stability.

The fighting has kept creating a humanitarian crisis. The conflict has moved millions of people. Has put a lot of stress on essential services and aid groups.

Qatar said that it will keep giving help as people try to solve the crisis.
