Sir Chris Hoy has shared how he is feeling about his battle with cancer. He is talking about how he has accepted that his life will be shorter than he thought.
The six-time Olympic gold medallist found out he had stage 4 prostate cancer in September 2023. A year later the doctors told him that the cancer had spread to his bones and that it was terminal.
After he found out the doctors told Sir Chris Hoy that he might have two to four years to live. With this bad news Sir Chris Hoy is still doing things and inspiring people with his bravery and positive attitude.
Sir Chris Hoy talked to The Sunday Times. Said that people often feel sorry for him when they find out about his cancer.
“They come up to me and say they are sorry to hear about my cancer and they ask how I am dealing with it” Sir Chris Hoy said.
“. We all have a limited time. It is just that I know my time is shorter. I think about it more.”
