The trial of Duane “Keffe D” Davis has begun in Las Vegas over the 1996 murder of rapper Tupac Shakur, one of hip-hop’s most influential figures.
Davis, a former California street gang leader, faces one count of murder with a deadly weapon. He has pleaded not guilty.
Prosecution makes its case
Prosecutors told the court that Davis was the ringleader of the group responsible for the shooting that killed Shakur.
Although Davis is not accused of firing the weapon himself, prosecutors allege he helped organise the attack.
