Arrest Follows Flight to New York

Blair, known for her roles in Legally Blonde and Cruel Intentions, was detained at John F. Kennedy International Airport after the flight landed late Sunday. US media reports alleged that she punched one flight attendant and bit another during the incident. She was also accused of assaulting a police officer and a nurse while being transported to hospital, according to reports.

Actress Receives Medical Attention

A representative for Blair said the actress experienced a medical emergency that led to the alleged behaviour. The representative added that she received immediate medical care after landing and was in stable condition. The FBI reportedly issued a summons accusing Blair of assaulting people aboard the aircraft.

Court Proceedings Underway

Blair was arraigned on two counts of second-degree assault on Monday night and released on bail. Her next court hearing is scheduled for January 19, 2027. Delta Air Lines said it does not tolerate unruly or unlawful conduct, stressing that the safety of passengers and crew remains its priority.

Previous Incident Recalled

The arrest has drawn attention to a previous incident involving Blair in 2016, when she was removed from a flight on a stretcher following an onboard outburst. At the time, she told Vanity Fair that mixing alcohol with medication caused her to black out and behave in ways she deeply regretted. In her 2022 memoir, Blair also recounted incidents in which she had bitten celebrities, including Kate Moss, sometimes in situations involving alcohol.
