Nigerian music star Oluwatosin Ajibade widely known as Mr Eazi has shared that his greatest regret in life is that his late mother never had the chance to watch him perform on a stage.
During an interview on the Brut Podcast Mr Eazi explained that his mother was a woman who did not like traveling even to nearby places such as Lagos and Accra. As Mr Eazi’s music career expanded and took him around the world Mr Eazi was unable to have his mother attend any of his shows.
Mr Eazi said that although his mother could not see him perform she remained a source of support throughout Mr Eazi’s career. She would often pray for Mr Eazi. Encourage him from home until she passed away.
“My only regret, in life is that my mom never got to watch me perform on stage before she passed away ” Mr Eazi said.
Mr Eazi also recalled that his father only saw him perform once in 2017 years after Mr Eazi had already reached international recognition.
According to Mr Eazi his father has stayed supportive of Mr Eazi’s career. Continues to call him to celebrate the release of new songs and projects.
Mr Eazi’s mother, Pastor Ifeoma Edith Ajibade, who had worked as a banker before becoming a pastor died on March 6 2025.
Mr Eazi’s reflections show that her passing remains deeply personal for Mr Eazi, who keeps building his career on the stage.
