CCTV Captures Leopard Entering Shop and Attacking Workers in Rajasthan
A liquor store employee in India narrowly escaped a leopard attack after the wild animal entered a shop in Rajasthan and attacked two workers.
CCTV footage from July 20 captured the frightening moment when the leopard moved inside the liquor store in the north-western Indian state.
The animal had reportedly already attacked a cleaning worker inside the shop before turning its attention to a salesman.
Leopard Hides Inside Store After Attack
After the attacks, the leopard hid near the counter, leaving both employees unable to safely leave immediately.
The workers eventually managed to escape, while people outside helped close the shop and trapped the animal inside.
The incident attracted attention in the area as residents waited for wildlife officials to respond.
Animal Rescued and Released
After nearly five hours, wildlife officials arrived and successfully tranquillised the leopard.
Authorities safely captured the animal and later released it back into the wild, according to local officials.
No further injuries were reported following the rescue operation.
The incident highlights the challenges faced by communities living near wildlife habitats, where encounters between humans and wild animals can occur unexpectedly.
