Manchester City will retain their link with Pep Guardiola after naming him as the Global Ambassador of the City Football Group.
This news follows a recent decision by Guardiola to retire from managing the Manchester City club after a remarkable decade-long spell as the first-team manager.
In his role as the Global Ambassador, Guardiola will offer technical advice to the clubs in the City Football Group and assist in other initiatives and collaborations.
The Spaniard leaves behind his post as the longest-serving manager at the club since beating Les McDowall’s record during his upcoming 593rd game against Aston Villa on Sunday.
